General electronics

There is lots to learn in the world of electronics, overtime you will slowly learn the ins and outs. I think there is a steeper learning curve in the electrical side to the team then there is to the mechanical side. Both sides have very complex projects to tackle, however you will find yourself working with complex system more often then the mechanical side. In addition, the rules are also significantly more strict, as there are risks associated with working with high voltage as well as batteries. 

There will be lots of information, but this information will help you with your university degree as well. You will learn more information ahead of whatever your current courses are teaching you and you will be making real engineering design decisions. You will be focusing on the practical aspect of learning, applying the concepts that you see on a sheet of paper into a electric vehicle. University will teach you the formulas/ components, however as a engineer you will be looking at wider system integration and balancing many stakeholders and criteria.
