Segment Modules
In MD25 and MD26, we will be using the Molicel P45B 21700 Li-ion Battery Module from Enepaq. These were chosen over custom modules to reduce the development time associated with custom manufacturing modules. Manufacturing modules have been attempted before however this proved time consuming for our small team. This lead to the choice to use the Enepaq modules. There are drawbacks associated with this choice such as higher cost, lower power density and less customisability. For example the Enepaq module uses a special temperature sensor that is incompatible (NB. not completely) with the Orion BMS 2 thermistor expansion module (which was used in MD25). Our current module configuration is 4 cells in parallel.

These modules are connected through bus bars that are bolted through the M5 bolts.
